GET TO KNOW LUCY
WHO IS LAST LAP LUCY?
Hi, I’m Lucy Ball-Wood, but in the paddock, on pit lane, and all over your motorsport TikTok feed, I go by LastLapLucy.
I’m not here to be the loudest voice, the fastest hot take, or the next cookie-cutter content creator. I’m here to bring something different to motorsport - a whole lot of heart.
My thing is telling real stories, connecting with people, and celebrating the joy, chaos, and community of motorsport. Whether I’m interviewing the next F1 hopeful or chatting with a grid marshal who’s been volunteering for 20 years, I want every person I feature to feel seen, valued, and comfortable being themselves.
I’ve built this platform from a place of pure love for the sport, for the people who make it what it is, and for the fans who deserve something more than just stats and soundbites.

WHAT DO I ACTUALLY DO?
_edited.jpg)
I create content that’s part interview, part storytelling, and part “let’s have a laugh and see what happens”.
I’m a presenter, editor, and host, but more than that, I’m a bridge between the paddock and the people watching at home. I focus on warmth, personality and accessibility.
Some people ask hard questions. I ask human ones.
Whether it’s:
-
getting giggly with Nyck de Vries about life off-track,
-
hearing Nadine Lewis talk about what it really means to be a marshal,
-
or challenging Thomas Bearman to a game mid-interview...
…I aim to capture the soul of motorsport, not just the results.
That means interviewing with empathy, editing with care, and always trying to make even the most media-trained pro crack a genuine smile.
Other creators might chase headlines. I’m here to build connections.

WHY DO I DO IT?

Because motorsport is about people.
Behind every helmet is a story. Behind every podium is a journey.
Whether you’re a fan, a future driver, or just wandered in by accident, you deserve to feel welcome, valued and seen.
My goal? To make the world of motorsport more open, inclusive, and genuinely fun.
